 Mr. G’s opened in 1970 on the two-lane State Road 7 under the name of Gooney’s Pizza. It was the only restaurant in the area of Margate at that time. Gooney's Pizza was successfully run for 3 years when ownership first changed hands. The new owners, the Margolin's, decided since the area was rapidly growing, they ought to expand the menu by adding traditional pasta dishes. With these changes taking place, a new name was also established -- Mr. G's. The restaurant continued to change over the years by adding various dishes to the menu. After 10 years, the pizza was replaced by a mulititude of fresh seafood and traditional Italian entrees. Finally in November 2001, Myself (Chef John Francis) and my lovely wife Jeannie took over Mr G's Ristorante. We've continued the tradition of Mr. G’s, by offering a variety of fresh seafood as well as traditional Italian dishes. We have also expanded the menu to include Chef John’s specialty items, popular and tasty grilled entrees, a new &  exciting
wine list, and a variety of delicious desserts.We have added our own personal touch to Mr. G's Ristorante to ensure each person has a pleasurable experience dining with us.
